FAQ
This page answers common questions about counseling, my approach, and what to expect when getting started.
Do you offer in-person or online therapy?
All sessions are held online through a secure video platform. Virtual therapy allows you to meet from the comfort and privacy of your own space anywhere in Arizona.
What issues do you typically help clients with?
I work with adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, trauma, self-esteem challenges, and patterns like people-pleasing. Many of my clients are also exploring how family history or past experiences continue to influence their present lives.
What can I expect in our first session?
Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and talk about what’s bringing you to therapy. We’ll explore what you’ve been experiencing, what support might look like for you, and begin identifying goals for our work together.
How long does therapy usually last?
The length of therapy varies depending on your goals and what you’re working through. Some people come for a few months of focused support, while others choose to stay longer as they continue growing and deepening their self-understanding.
Do you offer a consultation before starting therapy?
Yes. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so you can ask questions, share a little about what’s going on, and see if working together feels like a good fit.
Do you accept insurance?
I am in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, and Cigna. If you have questions about coverage, we can review that during our consultation.
What is your session rate?
My standard session rate is $220 for a 50-minute appointment. If you plan to use insurance, your out-of-pocket cost will depend on your specific plan.
How often will we meet?
Most clients start with weekly sessions to build momentum and consistency. As things progress, we can adjust the frequency based on your needs and goals.
What therapeutic approaches do you use?
My work integrates several evidence-based approaches, including Attachment-Based Therapy, CBT, relational therapy, and strengths-based practices. I tailor sessions to each person rather than using a one-size-fits-all model.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes. Everything we discuss in therapy is confidential, with a few legally required exceptions related to safety. I’m happy to explain confidentiality in more detail during our first session.
How do I know if therapy with you is a good fit?
The best way to find out is through a consultation or first session. A strong therapeutic relationship is one of the most important parts of meaningful progress, so it’s important that you feel comfortable and understood.
